Dish in Powder Blue Glaze Ju Ware Sung Dynasty (A.D. 960-1279) Height 4.4cm Diameter of mouth 21.4cm This dish has a round slightly contracted mouth, a curved shallow cavetto, a flat base, and a rather tall ring foot. The base of the foot has a rolled rim which is fitted with a bronze ring. On the base of the vessel is inscribed a pentasyllabic regulated verse in the calligraphy of the Ch'ien-lung Emperor. There are also five spur marks, exposing the pale buff body.
